Also, watch HBO TV interview about "The Wolfman" for about 12 minutes. ;)

Anyway some guy told me about this Wolfman movie. It looks amazing. I'll be honest. I don't see it as a remake. I see it as a new movie on its own.

Yes, it seems people often hold an overly romanticized idea of what it would be like to be a beast or a monster. They imagine how great it would be to frolic in the moonlight through the tall grass, never considering the number of fleas and deer ticks they would likely pick up. Sure, eating raw meat and crunching bones sounds very cool, but a high-protein low fiber diet combined with considerable fur is an equation that always equals dingleberries. And just think of how difficult personal grooming would be without opposable thumbs.

Every time I hear someone say they wished they were a vampire, I always want to ask them "Yes, but can you just imagine what type of experience you would have going to the bathroom after drinking all that blood?!?"

I know, I know. I'm such a buzz-kill. I'm a big hit at parties. :|

Vampires don't go to the bathroom, unless it's to shower. I like Vampires that look
like Brad Pit!!

Okay, Folks, here is the scoop. Friday at the Morris Karmike Cinema, the very first screening of "The Wolfman" will be at 4:35 pm. Since I do not have to work on Friday, I plan to be at that screening on Friday. Anyone else who's interested and lives near Morris Illinois, I will be wearing very faded jeans, a dark red burgandy shirt and glasses.

If all else fails, go to your local theatre nearest you and see it on opening day, and then we can compare notes. In preperation, I am going to screen the original Lon Chaney Jr "The Wolf Man" at home on Thursday night so I can do a comparison.

Anyway, I hope to see you all at the movies, either in person or in spirit, both are fine by me.

Mike

A little bit about this "The Wolfman" film.... Upon his return to his ancestral home, an American is bitten and cursed by, you guessed it, a wolf. Billing itself as a remake of the 1941 classic, the classy cast includes Benicio Del Toro, Emily Blunt and Anthony Hopkins.
