Well, I just found out I'll probably be out on a business trip from the 8th through the 24th of October. Looks like Halloween is mostly cancelled for me. :(

Ohh Dr Strange that's such a shame! You will still be back in time for the actual day/night though?? And that's when all the excitement comes to fruition! Your preparations might be a bit last minute but I'm sure you can still have a wonderful time :)

Yeah, I haven't even told my family yet, I don't have the heart. This trip was planned the last week of September and the first week of October, not as bad. But of course plans change, man I just hate it though. September through December are the best four months of the year and I hate to miss a minute of it; and if I'm not with my family then it doesn't even count. :(

Aww I hate it when stuff like that happens. It's horrible when business encroaches on your family life and your fun time. I'm sure that they will be supportive though, although a bit disappointed, at least you will be there for Halloween itself - and if you get back on the 24th as planned, you will still have a week or so to help with the last of the preparations. Your family can kickstart it off and when you come back you can swoop in with an armful of pumpkins and streamers and add your finishing, magical touch ;)

That is sad Dr.S, but at least ya got the website to enjoy other people's decorations until you get back to throw some of your own up. :)
In my household...we don't plan anything from Sept 1st - Feb 1st...the holidays & football own that time of the year ! :P

I appreciate the kind words of encouragement. The trip will be to the Oklahoma City area, can't say I'm looking forward to that either....

Ahh well.
