Areas of the world that should capitalize on Halloween!

Post by Nostalgiascape » Wed Sep 19, 2012 3:57 pm

If the country of Romania embraced Halloween and commercialized it like the United States as they are THE home of Vlad Tepet IE Dracula, Romania would make mad bank! And if they advertised in the U.S. about Romania Halloween vacation the money would roll in for them. They'd need to embrace Spirit Halloween shop and HalloweenExpress companies and invite stores but i'd gamble on it being most sucessful. Every spot linked to Halloween in this economy including England and East USA for the Witch trials as well as Ireland for it's beginnings should financially capitalize on their Halloween based roots. I have seen foreigners all over Mill Avenue Tempe Az on many a Halloween night that attended ASU just eat American Halloween up with excitement.
The dark night beckons. Bear us your soul, it whispers. Expose your wicked delights. Join the rest of us on the wind. The dark night beckons and we answer. Sailing into the shadows.

That's about the size of it. A lot of foreign tourists come to this country deliberately in October because they want to see what all the fuss is about regarding Halloween. I would love to visit Romania and the infamous Tower of London during the Halloween season some time. My discernment for the airlines industry and the fact that I just plain can't afford it, have been stopping me. No matter, there is plenty of fun to be had right here in my home town for the Halloween season.

Who knows, maybe Halloween will suddenly catch fire over seas?

I think they should focus on towns where serail killers are from to further the Halloween and horror agendas. Not saying you have to kill to be a horror fan, but those people probably like violence. :|

:alien: To me, Halloween is all about the fun of being scared in a relatively safe environment. Serial killers don't exude much fun.

Chang, that isn't entirely a bad idea, but I would want to tread a little lightly. I don't like to glorify serial killers, but I do realize that many of us, myself included, are fascinated by suposedly haunted places, and the reason why those stories are centered around those places is because there was a lot of human suffering.

I imagine you're right Nos Romania could capitalize on Halloween if they marketed it correctly. I'd love to visit your country Halloween or not however a Halloween themed tour would certainly help.

DemonicDuck, there's a web site that offers tours. Dractours.com if you care to check them out. I am a little leary of it, however, as some times web sites are nothing more then scams. The prices, however sound reasonable.

A travel agent would probably be a better bet.

I would like to incorporate a Halloween themed vacation with a trip to Transelvania and Dracula's castle, and a sea cruise.

Welcome to the club DD. My medical problems of last Summer are going to take me until January to get paid off. At least I'll have tons of overtime at my regular job and so far 3 major 'Studio O'Brien' photo shoots to help me keep body and soul together.
