am I the only one that is concerned that Obama reads Rolling Stone magazine and gives a hoot what they have to say?
I wonder if he actually read it.......seems he doesnt read a lot of things that he should *cough* healthcare bill, *cough* Arizona immigration law *cough*

actually, I'm sure there is a whole staff that reads and watches all media to look for things that Obama might not like, but I would be surprised if Obama on his own would even know that it's an offense for a member of the military to publicly "dis" the President....I'm sure he had to be informed by one of his White House lap dogs......and you know how much Obama hates to be criticized....

The issue wasn't released yet. Staffers got an advanced copy of the article, one of whom brought it to Press Secretary Gibbs, who walked it over to the Oval Office. You can't have a top general and his staff publicly slagging off the President and his cabinet. Respect for the civilian leadership by the military is crucial to the retention of our democracy, and the President did exactly what any other president would have done. It has nothing to do with hurt feelings, thin skin, or anything else that exists in your bizarre, distorted view of reality gleaned from a diet of Beck and Limbaugh. But then, lack of sleep has been known to cause hallucinations....

nice way to quote Obama with a little liberal sprinkled in.........I agree we cant have our top military brass slamming the president but from what I heard, read, saw on TV the General didnt actually do any of that, it was his staff. Oh well, Petraeus was able to pull Iraq out of the toilet of failure so maybe he can do the same with Afghanistan......as long as Obama doesnt let his far left base (the only ones still sticking with him) influence the policy....

The General is responsible for his staff. He was in the room when the comments were made, and he laughed along with them. As for Iraq not being a failure, when someone explains to me just exactly what we got in exchange for our over 4,000 dead soldiers and over half a trillion dollars spent, I might agree.
