My daughter has already decided that she wants to portray Daphne from Scooby-Doo Doo this year. She is already sourcing her costume, gathering the various elements on line.

Nothing beats advanced planning.

It's almost June, halfway through the year.

Pumpkin seeds have been planted and now we wait.

Ooh, pumpkin seeds! Around here, my blossoms always get nibbled off in the night. I'm not even doing a garden, though I may put out some containers after the CA jaunt. Flowers for the patio, herbs for the kitchen.

It's been many a year since I've seen a rabbit in our yard. The more likely culprit is a possum or a raccoon.

For 14 years we had a dog in our yard. I used to see rabbits then. But other fauna have shown up since she died.
