I really dig July 4th.
In my perfect world I would be a ghost who died in 1776.

I'm definately going to light off some firecrackers and other assorted fun fireworks on the 4th of July. But July 24this my Birthday, and I am going to celebrate with some horror movies, fireworks and possible a new video camera.

Fireworks are strictly verboten in most of the region where I live so I have to make due with firework shows.
By the look of it I should have home grown sweet corn by the 4th. I'm looking forward to that!

I ahve to be careful, but I do enjoy fireworks. I also like smoke bombs. Some fireworks are illegal in my home state, however.

California does allow some but they are all of the smoke and no sparks variety.
There are some spectacular civic displays; San Francisco has a pretty good one but it is often obscured by fog, which can be pretty in it's own way.

As much as I love fireworks, that stands to reason. I've been watching these wild fires that are happening right now in California.
Some times going to a professional display is a lot of fun. I've been to a few of those at Raceway Park.

Yeah, we do seem to catch fire quite frequently here in sunny Cal.

It is now almost July, I can't believe it either. In about 3 months, we will be celebrating Halloween!

You kniw, the year has gone by pretty fast, in spite of the fact that I had to do without my motorcycle from April all the way until Tomorrow. It seems like only yesterday I was shoveling snow.
I am going to make a firecracker run, but I'll hve to take the car so I can have room to put some of the 'good stuff.' And then on the 4th, I am going to have myself a ball.
But as the Summer progresses, the Halloween bug will start to bite. Come august, some of my local stores will be displaying Halloween decforations for sale, but I do plan to do some shopping for that stuff in preperation. In September I clean the house for Halloween, and in late September, I start putting up decorations.

Well I am definately ready to celebrate Summer. Like I said, I plan to make a fireworks run some time this week, and I am definately going to do something for my birthday. However thenew video camera will have to wait due to medical bills, the expense of my motorcycle repairs, and my lawn mower died on me a couple of days ago, and I had to buy a new one.
