The chili and bar-b-q is on me. You bring the beer and cold slaw and we're good to go!

Well, for me there's been a change in plans. This weekend is the very last weekend the Harvest Moon Drive-In is opened, so I am going to go to their double feature, "The Conjuring" and "The Shining." I also plan to bring some of my own eats, too.

Happy belated "Little Halloween," folks. I had tons of fun at the movies last Friday, and am looking forward to the real deal in October, and then another "Little Halloween," in December. Just imagine the looks on peoples faces if they were to walk into my house on Friday December 13th, and see a glowing jack o'lantern sitting on top my speaker with Christmas lights, a huge tree and all kinds of Youltide decorations all over the place.
Murf, a week ago Monday, I had to have an inpacted wisdon tooth pulled AND the tooth in front of it. In addition to that, I also had an infection in my gums in that area and a sinus infection that was adding fuel to the fire. It was seriously painful, and when they were pulled, while still in bad pain, it was nothing like it was before they were pulled. Talk about a "craptastic" day! I was off 2 days from work because of that.

Sorry to hear of your dental woes, Mike. Mine turned out better than I'd expected. I needed one of those "deep cleanings," the kind they give when you are starting to have gum disease, and I'd been told I'd have to have my whole mouth numb for it. However, the hygienist decided that I didn't need to be numb, as my problems weren't that far along. So really, although it was longer than a regular cleaning, it turned out to be no worse than that. I had dreaded all those shots more than anything.
Once I thought I had dental problems and it turned out to be a sinus infection. I understand how swollen sinuses can press on the nerves to your teeth, making you think the problem is where it isn't.
Anyway, I hope you are healing up well and don't have anything remotely like that to deal with anytime soon again!
Last Friday I watched the movie Hitchcock, with Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren. It is about the relationship between Hitchcock and his wife during the filming of Psycho. Watching that movie made me want to see Psycho again, so I got it on DVD and watched it a couple of days ago. Even after all these years, and knowing the "trick" of it, I found it still a very effective movie. Anthony Perkins was really terrific in it. I know he later felt he had been typecast after that movie and had mixed feelings about having done it, but he should have been very proud of his work, I think. And you know, since it is Hitchcock, it really isn't a gross-out fest. There are a couple or three shocking moments, but most of it is suspense. That's my kind of horror film.

Why don't I ever see these things when it's relevant? Figure
I'll post it now while that dumb commercial with the camel is
still around.
Happy belated lil' Halloween.

I love it. What a great parody of that camel add for 'hump day.'
