Right now it's cold and cloudy, and we are under a tornato watch to boot. BUT, I may be getting a new motorcycle within the next couple of months.

That's cool! 8) Just curious. Are you only the motorcycle lover, or are you in the motorcycle gang? Just asking... b/c I know some bearded guys with long hair always love to ride on Harley Davidson bikes! I had a few friends who were into motorcycle gangs, and they had lots of troubles with the law! :?

Around here, there are clubs of motor-bike riders, and they are not unlawful at all. I even know a couple from our church who do it. I see these clubs gathering in the parking lots of neighborhood restaurants prior to their weekend rides during pleasant weather. I don't ride myself, but it looks like good, clean fun to me.

Ha.

around here the only 'bikers' and middle-aged bankers who think that they are rebels because they can afford $30k hogs with matching leather outfits.

God; I hate California some times...

My bidkedidn't cost anything close to 30K dollars, and I am strictly a LOAN WOLF. I don't belong to any gangs or clubs, leagal or ileagel. My primary purpose is to cruise around and travel cross country by motorcycle which I love to do. I also plan on taking the new scoot on a few 'haunted road trips.'

Mike, I'm glad that you don't belong to any of motorcycle gangs... so I do have a few friends who are biker gangs, they're good and friendly people... sometimes they did break some laws. They carry handguns, machine guns, drugs while traveling other states. They do solicit with prostitues, pimping women, etc. They have long hair, long beard, some have thick goatee, wear caps and bandanas, they have lots of tattooes.

I do love summer, but I really can't stand the hot heat, too humid, you know? I always stay in the house or stay in the swimming pool all the time! Can't wait to see cool Fall in October and November! :D

No, Andy, I am no banker by any means. As for my new bike, I will be posting photos of it momentarily.

iHaunt, I am nothing like that at all. I do not belong to any gangs, and though I may ride a Harley, I rode 3 Yamahas and 1 Honda for 20 years. This is my first Harley. But as I sai before, I an strictly a loan wolf when it comes to motorcycling. I like to ride, ride, and ride some more. I don't hang around at bars, nor do I get into the "big bad gang" image thing.

I ride a Harley because it's a great bike. It rides like a dream, handles like a dream, has plenty of pick-up and top end speed cabability, and it gets 47 t0 57 miles per gallen. I don't give a rat's snot ball about how I look riding it, or whether or not I make the proverbial cut or get into the "clique." The truth is, I have been called a "wanna be" by many a Harley rider when I rode around on the Yamahas and Honda, and my answer to them is "I DON"T 'wanna be.' " I didn't "wanna be" when I was riding 4 truely fabulous machines for the past 20 years, and I don't "wanna be" now, even if I do ride the "right kind" of motorcycle.

I plan to do the same thing on my Harley as I did on my Seca 750, my Venture Royale, my Verago and my Valkyrie. I am going to ride into the wind. I am going to travel extensively by road, and I am going to enjoy actualy RIDING, and not sitting on my 'U Know What' in a bar talking about it. I am actualy going to DO IT! I am going to LIVE TO RIDE AND RIDE TO LIFE.

Mike
