The highway department in Ca. uses big orange trash bags when they do trash pick up (the people who do this are people serving the 'community service' part of traffic violations...not that I would know) so every now and then the freeways look like abstract pumpkin patches.

Here's a pic from this weekend. There are a remarkable number of dead animal parts around the property.

They do exactly the same thing for the 'community service' people here in Illinois. They use black bags, but you see them all the time, cleaning up trash along side of the free ways and u.s. routs.

I noticed the sky gave off an errie orangey color when it's close to sunset. It's kind of neat, when you see the trees that look black and the trees with the errie glow just remind me of a "halloween" sunset.

There's a large thunder and lightning storm near me now so I took some pictures of the dark sky and the trees, unfortunately the photographs came out to look light and sunny so I edited them so you get the idea ;)

They're a little over-exagurrated darkness-wise but they look really creepy in my opinion.
I love having big creepy trees overlooking my home :D

-UPDATE-

The internet is slow, so images will come soon.

I was driving along the coast Saturday afternoon and noticed that the tide was out & the tidal pools were very shallow.

The sun was out and it was warm so that steam was rising thick and slow from the pools.

It reminded me of a scene from an old voodoo movie from the 1940's (can't recall the title) where the lady in distress is waiting on a boat dock with her back to a swamp and of course a large, spooky zombie appears from the water and slowly reaches out to her.

Some day at the beach, eh?

That's a cute movie.

I almost picked up the 'Igor' DVD at the supermarket check-out last night but I had not heard anything, good or bad, about it.

Anyone see it and what did you think?
