iHaunt, I do put a scare crow with a jack o'lantern in his lap on my motorcycle for a "headless biker" display, but I just haven't gotten around to purchasing yard decorations, and there has been a rash of thefts of yard Halloween decorations. I have also played with the idea of getting one of these huge inflatables and inflating them with helium instead of air, but finances are short this year, so I'll probably just to my usual for Halloween itself.
The thing is, I am also use to having all kinds of Halloween decorations inside the house. I might get some tomb stones or something one of these years, but it will now have to wait until I have at least one of my vehicles paid off.

My wife & I also decorate inside & out. We will be doing a small cemetery outside this year aswell as the usual Jack O'Lanterns. I am also thinking of making one of the ghosts from the first scene in Trick r Treat.
Inside we have cobwebs, scene setters, bats, hanging decorations, different things on the windows, halloween candles. I also today just bought some black netting to put over the curtain. We may also buy a smoking witches couldron.

I go all out decorating the inside too. I love old gothic looking decor. I don't necessarily make my house scary, but I try to make the atmosphere very still to the point of uneasiness.

That's what we prefer, the atmosphere rather than out & out scary.

That's one of the things I really love about my 100 year old house. That house, in and of itself, is a great Halloween decoration. Add some pumpkins, a hanging bat or two and some spooky lights, and you have a very spooky looking, almost magical 'haunted' house.
By the way, according to local legend, my house is actualy haunted.

I'm so jealous of where you live Mike! I don't think anything in my area is more than 30 or 40 years old

I really do love my old house. There are some disadvantages, though. There is a lot of upkeep to the older houses, but they are very solidly build, and stand the test of time.

Your house is your most expensive Halloween decoration then!

Yes, you can definately say that my hosue is my most expensive Halloween decoration. I'll be paying for it until 2035, and that doesn't include maintenence and repairs that will undoubetedly crop up from time to time. In fact, I am looking at the possibility of having to replace my washer and dryer.

Let's all take a field trip to Mike's house
Think he'll let us in if we show up at the door?

If you show up in costume on Halloween, I'll even give you some ToT candy. You can stick around for a weenie roast in the fire place, too.
