Apparently this clown hangs around a street corner in the UK, all day & night.

He doesn't make balloon animals, he doesn't crack jokes or do pantomime.

He's just there.

All day.

Staring at people.

I'm on mobile and all I see is the dreaded question mark in a little blue box.

Fear of clowns seems to be a pretty common phobia. First I heard of it was back in college in the late 70's. One of my favorite movies is Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Years ago I had a few friends over one night and was about to show it, but 2 people said they were too scared of clowns and after seeing the pictures on the front of the VCR box were going to leave if I showed it. They felt the same way about Chuckie and large dolls like him.

Dolls creep me out way more than clowns do, but you are right that it is a common phobia.

I should tell my co-worker to dress like Ronald McDonald for Halloween because he looks like one.

Clowns don't bother me at all, but they surely do bug some people. Now, for me, it's monkeys. Just can't stand them. They are grotesques to me, too much like people not to be people. My husband believes it is the same principle at work for those who dislike clowns. They are grotesques, too.
